A hub of Indian fashion, the AZA chain of stores houses the creations of as many as 50 of the country’s most highly acclaimed and celebrated fashion designers. The stores’ Couture lines include collections by Anamika Khanna, Manish Malhotra, Rohit Bal, Sabyasachi Mukherji and Varun Bahl, to name a few. Aza’s diffusion and prêt repertoire includes designs from other stalwarts in Indian fashion, including Anand Kabra, Kiran Uttam Ghosh and Rajesh Pratap Singh.

Aza’s client list is a cross section of the India’s elite and fashion-forward. It includes industry heads, CEO’s of leading companies and other stylish people from fields like art, film, fashion and glamour.

AZA Fashions was founded in 2004 by Dr Alka Nishar as a luxury retailer to merchandise the best of Indian couture for a discerning audience.

With a background in management and a passion for fashion, Dr. Nishar conceptualized AZA’s luxury fashion & lifestyle format. She set the pace for rapid expansion and a high-growth trajectory based on her extensive professional experience in new initiative development and implementation. At Aza, she applies her expertise in creative focus, brand development, and promotional activities. Dr. Nishar has repeatedly been a member of the IMG Lakme Fashion Week advisory board.

Each Aza store focuses on luxury and offers a wide range of couture, diffusion and prêt collections along with an emphasis on “Occasion-Wear”, a must in a country that is always in a celebratory mood!

Aza truly is ‘the’ destination in the city for the most luxuriant, opulent and fashionable clothing where patrons will be treated to varied silhouettes, intricate embroideries and blends of contemporary and traditional patterns in vibrant colors and stunning designs bringing the city to the forefront of fashion.

Founder Alka Nishar and events at the AZA store are regularly featured in fashion journals such as Vogue India, L’Officiel, HT City, Delhi Times, etc. AZA is a participant at the Fashion Weeks in Mumbai and Delhi as a major buyer and often as an event sponsor.

The first store, spread over 5,000 square feet, opened at Mumbai’s most up market address – Altamount Road- in Oct 2005. The second store, spread over 3,500 square feet, opened at Delhi’s fashion destination – Crescent at the Qutub in Feb 2007. The third landmark store opened in January 2010 at Delhi’s elite marketplace, South Extension.

The first store catering exclusively for men, Aza Men, was launched in Mumbai in November 2007 creating an indelible mark on the fashion industry with the success of the brand. Among those designers who showcase their work at Aza Men are Rohit Bal, J.J. Vallaya, Varun Bahl, Manish Malhotra, Cue, Manav Gangwani, Zubair Kirmani, Krishna Mehta, Sabyasachi, Savio Jon, Arjun Khanna, Narendra Kumar Ahmed and Ravi Bajaj.

The second world class Aza Men store situated at Delhi’s Crescent at the Qutab was launched in July 2010. Housed at Delhi are master designers Rajesh Pratap Singh, Arjun Khanna, Digvijay Singh, Gaurav Gupta, Krishna Mehta, Lalit Jalan, Vivek Karunakaran, Manish Malhotra, Varun Bahl, Vijay Arora and Sabyasachi.

The future plans include opening additional large format couture stores across India and abroad. Coming us soon are two large retail stores in Mumbai in the Bandra (10,000 sq.ft.) and the Juhu (3,000 sq.ft.) areas.

With the vision of creating an integrated and global fashion industry, Aza plans to expand internationally, presenting the best designer wear by designers from around the world. Currently, the Aza team is actively planning expansion in Dubai, London and New York.
