While it has been challenging and tricky,<\/del> most of us have endured and made it through this tough phase with hacks. We know most of you have also not made it to the salon to get your routine root touch-ups, trims, and hair spas. But like they say,<\/del> when life gives you lemons you make lemonade, and when life gives you quarantine, you summon the hair care-routine at home.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n Yes, please! Please give your hair a break from all the heat from styling tools and pole-clogging styling products. Styling tools are one of the major causes of split ends and no amount of heat protectants will help that. They take away all the moisture from your hair, leave them feeling dry, and cause your cuticles to open up allowing moisture (read frizz) to seep in. While it's hard to give up on styling during regular days doing so during the lockdown will reduce the hair frizz. The spa that you are craving right now will not even seem required anymore.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n Are your roots showing? If you haven't tried at-home hair colour before, now is not the time to experiement. Firstly, you do not have the professional skills and expertise required to master the art of hair colouring. Secondly, box dyes have less conditioning properties than professional hair colour. The chemicals of these dyes can damage your hair greatly. This is why we suggest befriending the headbands and beanies to hide the roots. However, if you have a video call or an emergency where you simply can't let your roots show use your eyeshadow palette to cover up the stubborn greys. Take a small makeup brush preferably the eye shadow brush which is compact but has bristles. Dip into your eyeshadow palette and lightly tap on your greys avoiding contact with the scalp. Blend it with your fingers.<\/p>\r\n

If you are one of those who would leave it to the professionals to do their hair cut magic that's also okay. But in the meantime, you can take care of your damaged ends by keeping avoiding styling and with leave-in conditioners. That greasy hair you feel is nothing but the natural oils. These natural oils moisturize the scalp and naturally condition or soften your hair. All of which leads to a healthy mane. Another benefit of cutting back on the shampoo is that it will protect your coloured hair from washing out too.
