Designers from across the country converged to present collections that bridge traditional heritage with forward-thinking fashion. This season emphasised sustainability, bold structural silhouettes, and modern luxury pret. From star-studded presentations to groundbreaking debuts, the runway offered dynamic energy and endless inspiration. Here are the key highlights that defined this year's iconic event.

Manish Malhotra Luxury Pret

Manish Malhotra kicked off the season with an extraordinary showcase of luxury pret. He blended classic Indian craftsmanship with modern contemporary silhouettes. The collection featured sharp cuts, fluid draped skirts, and tailored jackets. Glittering sequins and intricate threadwork caught the spotlight.

Models, as well as the showstoppers Sara Ali Khan and Ayushmann Khurrana, glided down the runway in versatile pieces. Celebrities filled the front row, adding extra glamour to the presentation.

Anushree Reddy Presents Maya

Anushree Reddy teamed up with Lakme Salon to present her captivating collection, Maya. Soft pastels, delicate embroidery, and flowing organzas dominated the runway. Reddy focused on lightweight bridal couture and breezy festive pieces. Her layered skirts and intricate floral motifs captivated the audience immediately. Sara Arjun looked stunning in one of the outfits as she walked down the runway.

The presentation offered total visual harmony between beauty and fashion. Every look delivered a fresh perspective on traditional festive wear. Attendees left with endless inspiration for the upcoming celebration season.

Richa Khemka and Gaurav Jagtiani

The NEXA Spotlight initiative brought fresh creative vision to the runway under the theme 'The Unseen'. Winning designers Linetribe by Gaurav Jagtiani and Richa Khemka shared the stage to present two distinct interpretations.

Richa Khemka presented Vesper, exploring light, shadow, and evolving identity through sculptural silhouettes, laser-cut textures, and striking metallic accents. Actress Diana Penty made an appearance, closing the showcase with immense poise. Linetribe introduced Pinnacle, featuring structured tailoring, sharp outerwear, and hand-executed quilting. Both collections drew praise for their technical craftsmanship and emotive storytelling.

Grand Finale: AM:IT by Amit Aggarwal

Amit Aggarwal delivered a spectacular closing performance with his label, AM:IT. He transformed the runway into a futuristic landscape driven by architecture and sustainable design. Aggarwal utilised recycled polymers, metallic cords, and structured textiles to create dynamic forms. His signature wave patterns and sharp geometric lines redefined modern haute couture.

The creations moved like living sculptures under dramatic lighting displays. Bold colours lit up the stage. Aggarwal successfully fused industrial innovation with fine handcrafting techniques. Aneet Padda commanded the stage in an avant-garde outfit that stole the entire show. Audiences cheered as the grand finale concluded on a triumphantly high note.

A New Era of Style

The 2026 October edition of Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI redefined contemporary style standards across the board. Designers successfully balanced traditional Indian heritage with bold futuristic vision. The runway delivered unforgettable creativity and flair. This season clearly proved that Indian fashion continues to innovate, inspire, and lead on a global scale.
