Pinterest Just Dropped Its 2026 Color Forecast — These 5 Shades Will Be Everywhere

New year, new you, and a brand-new color palette to match.

For the third year in a row, Pinterest has unveiled its highly anticipated Pinterest Palette, predicting the colors that will dominate fashion, beauty, and interiors in 2026. While Pantone took the quiet and minimalist approach with Cloud Dancer (a soft white), Pinterest went in the opposite direction, serving up a lineup of bold, expressive, and emotionally rich shades based on real user behavior.

Powered by insights from over 600 million users, Pinterest analyzes keyword searches, visual trends, and cultural moments to predict what people are actually gravitating toward. The result? Five standout shades that feel wearable, expressive, and surprisingly versatile.

The Pinterest Palette for 2026:

  • Cool Blue
  • Jade
  • Plum Noir
  • Wasabi
  • Persimmon

Let’s break down how each color is showing up across fashion, beauty, and home—and why you’ll be seeing them everywhere this year.

Wasabi: Electric Green with Maximalist Energy

Wasabi is Pinterest’s most playful prediction—a high-voltage yellow-green that feels fresh, bold, and impossible to ignore. Searches for “chartreuse” are up 175%, while “lime green weddings” have jumped 70%

In fashion, Wasabi is already gaining momentum:

  • Satin gowns
  • Coordinated sets
  • Statement heels and bags

It’s especially popular for spring and summer events, weddings included. In jewelry, chartreuse gemstones like peridot, tsavorite, chrysoberyl, sphene, and diopside capture this energetic hue beautifully.

For interiors, Wasabi works best as a pop of color rather than a full commitment—think accent chairs, cushions, or decor pieces. As maximalism continues to rise, this shade adds instant personality.

Persimmon: The Fiery Orange Taking Over 2026

Bright orange has been quietly gaining traction since 2025, and in 2026 it evolves into Persimmon, a reddish, fruity orange that feels bold yet wearable.

Pinterest reports:

  • 105% increase in searches for “orange color suits”
  • 75% increase in “orange color combinations”

This suggests a revival of expressive, statement dressing—especially in men’s fashion, reminiscent of the bold styling of the 1970s.

In women’s fashion, Persimmon is showing up in:

  • Activewear
  • Accessories
  • Metallic nail finishes
  • Lip colors

In interiors, it’s most on-trend as an accent—lamps, dinnerware, furniture, or decorative objects. Gemstones like carnelian, coral, red agate, and orange jade mirror this shade beautifully.

Cool Blue: The New Neutral We Didn’t See Coming

Cool Blue I believe, is the chilliest shade in Pinterest’s 2026 lineup. A frosty, muted blue that feels calm, modern, and quietly luxurious, it is also the closest match to Pantone’s Cloud Dancer. Therefore, making it a perfect bridge between minimalism and color.

Pinterest reports an 85% increase in searches for this shade, with beauty leading the charge. Searches for “icy nails winter” are up 230%, confirming Cool Blue as one of the season’s most-requested nail colors.

In fashion, this hue is replacing the bold cobalt blues of recent years. Expect to see it in:

  • Cozy knitwear
  • Fuzzy sweaters
  • Lounge sets and sweat suits
  • Soft tailoring and evening wear

Cool Blue works beautifully in jewelry too—think aquamarine, zircon, larimar, and diamond pairings for an extra-icy finish.

Jade: Earthy, Elegant, and Endlessly Timeless

Described by Pinterest as sitting “somewhere between mint and moss,” Jade is more than just a color. It is a texture, a mood, and a material moment.

Searches for “jade marble nails” are up a staggering 450%, proving that the stone’s signature swirled look is just as important as its color. In beauty, jade-inspired nail art is one of 2026’s most-requested looks.

In gemstones, Jade finds beautiful company in chrysoprase, serpentine, prehnite, and green quartz variations. It’s a shade that never truly goes out of style—only evolves.

Plum Noir: Moody, Dramatic, and Deeply Luxurious

The darkest shade in the Pinterest Palette, Plum Noir is a rich blend of purple, burgundy, and brown. Searches for “dark plum” and “deep purple” are up over 200%, signaling a shift from bright reds and maroons toward something more mysterious.

In fashion, this color feels plush and intentional—perfect for velvet dresses, tailored coats, and statement accessories. It had its runway moment a few seasons ago, and 2026 is when it officially reaches the mainstream.

In beauty, Plum Noir shines in:

  • Eyeshadows
  • Liners and mascaras
  • Nail colors

Burgundy-plum tones are especially flattering across skin tones and eye colors. Pair this shade with onyx, obsidian, black opal, or deep amethyst for a true “villain era” aesthetic.

Why the Pinterest Palette Matters

The Pinterest Palette isn’t just trend forecasting—it’s data-backed prediction. Compiled from real searches, visual discovery patterns, and expert curation, it has proven remarkably accurate year after year.

For 2026, the palette strikes a balance between wearable elegance and expressive color:

  • A frosty blue that doubles as a neutral
  • A gemstone green rooted in nature
  • A moody plum for depth and drama
  • An electric chartreuse for bold moments
  • A spicy orange that energizes everything it touches

Whether you’re refreshing your wardrobe, experimenting with beauty looks, or rethinking your home, these are the colors set to define the year ahead.

One thing’s clear: 2026 is not about playing it safe—it’s about color with confidence.
