India Couture Week 2018 – All you need to know!

India Couture week has been one of the most anticipated fashion weeks for couture & occasion wear in the country over the years. And this year too, everyone has been talking about the spectacular show put up by some of the leading Indian designers on the India couture week 2018 platform. And adding the glitz and glam to the shows were leading Bollywood divas who walked the ramp for the designers. From Kangana Ranaut to Kareena Kapoor Khan, the actresses made drop dead gorgeous appearances on the runway, styled in the most stunning couture outfits. Anju Modi

Anju Modi brought back the Victorian era with her stellar bridal collection. Softer English hues with a touch of luxurious velvets, silks and brocades turned the runway into a dream come true for the modern Indian bride.

Falguni Shane Peacock

The designer duo unveiled their 'Amour De Junagarh' line at the India Couture Week 2018 which presented a medley of the French capital and the palace of Junagarh – Rajasthan’s cultural capital. A beautiful play of enchanting details inspired by the palace walls of Juna Mahal is the beauty of Falguni & Shane Peacock’s couture collection.

Amit Aggarwal

Futuristic and metallic are two terms that can describe the steallar collection of distinctive silhouttes and colors that designer Amit Aggarwal presented at the India Couture Week 2018. Rightly termed ‘Crystalis’, the collection has complex geometric embellishments and corded detailing that highlighted the designer’s signature polymer work.

Shyamal & Bhumika

Designers Shyamal & Bhumika take Indian couture to a whole new level with their latest collection ‘Muse of Mirrors’ at the India Couture Week 2018. Using some of the most elaborate and ornate techniques like zardozi, aari and pitta work, the collection features the glorious Indian arts and crafts.

Rahul Mishra

Rahul Mishra’s ‘Maraasim’ draws inspiration from the relations of the past and the present. From the Mughal architecture to the Pichwai paintings, the designer’s collection at the India Couture Week has been an exploration of all things beautiful from the late 16th and 17th century.

Rohit Bal

Inspired by nature and the majestic beauty of Kashmir depicted through flamingos, lilies, sunflowers and elephants, Rohit Bal’s collection would take you to the elaborate Mughal gardens. Closing the grand couture week, the designer made sure the audience was left awed at his opulent creation inspired from his childhood in the valleys of Kashmir.
